New Free tray app for Windows 10 & 11

Make every
keystroke clack.

Clack gives any keyboard the sound of a mechanical one. Recorded switch packs, mouse clicks, spatial audio, and not a single keystroke read.

What it does

A small app with an unreasonable amount of feel.

Clack sits in your tray and does one job well: every key and click on Windows gets a satisfying, tunable sound. Everything else is just ways to make it yours.

Sound packs

Switches, typewriters, and a Selectric.

Cherry, ALPS, Holy Pandas, IBM, creamy boards, and old typewriters, all recorded and mapped per key, with separate down and up sounds. Drop in your own packs and they appear without a restart.

Tone pad

Shape the feel.

Push any pack toward warm thock or crisp clack from a single compact control.

Spatial

Sound that sits on the board.

Left-hand keys sound left, right-hand keys sound right. Try it with headphones in the demo.

Mouse clicks

Every click, answered.

Left, right and middle each get an optional click, from softest to hard.

Visualizer

See the rhythm.

An optional overlay that follows your cursor, pins in place, or stays top-center.

Tray first

One click away.

Mute, volume, profile and favorites live in a tray flyout. Optionally start at login.

Privacy

Hears keys. Never reads them.

Clack reacts to which physical key moved, never the character it typed. No text, no clipboard, no telemetry, no account. Settings stay in your Windows app data folder.

The playground

Tune it until it sounds like you.

Pick a voice, drag the tone pad, then type. The demo is a browser approximation built from synthesized switch layers; the app itself plays recorded packs, so it sounds even better. Headphones recommended.
